6 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Tyler Austin was traded to the San Francisco Giants on Monday afternoon for outfield prospect Malique Ziegler. Austin - formerly a top prospect in the Yankees system - has struggled to find his footing in the big leagues since breaking in back in 2016. Austin has power-hitting potential, but he was blocked by C.J. Cron and Nelson Cruz in the Twins' organizational depth chart. He has a lifetime slash line of .232/.291/.469, although maybe another change of scenery will do him some good. Leave Austin on the waiver wire for now until a clear path to playing time is available.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
