6 years agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Miguel Sano (heel) will join the team for on-field batting practice for the first time this season on Saturday. The next step for Sano, if all goes well, will be a minor league rehab assignment before rejoining the big club. The 25-year-old slugger endured a wholly underwhelming season in 2018 that saw him carry a .189 average with 13 home runs and 41 RBI in 71 games. Sano has the talent to be a top-tier run producer in the MLB, but injuries and inconsistencies have reared their ugly head.
