Blake Snell Lets Up One Hit In Loss
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Blake Snell spun nine strikeouts and allowed one hit over six innings against the Blue Jays on Saturday. His brilliance wasn’t enough to get the win as Clay Buchholz nearly matched him, letting up one run in six innings. This should be a rare occurrence that Snell will pitch this well and not earn a win. After Snell, Chaz Roe came in and promptly let up two runs. Snell should continue to dominate and earn wins outside of this one, as the Rays offense will get him better support. He faces a tough task on paper next week against the Red Sox. He should be starting against any team he faces at this point.
