6 years agoAfter starting the season a perfect 4-0, Seattle Mariners starter Marco Gonzales got his first no-decision against the Houston Astros on Sunday. The southpaw gave up two runs on five hits and two walks over 5 1/3 innings of work as the M's fell 3-2. Gonzales only managed to strike out a trio of batters on the afternoon and has just 19 on the year in 31 innings. A high strikeout total from Gonzales shouldn't be counted on, but his 3.19 ERA and 1.23 WHIP are both excellent numbers that could hold up in this range as the season progresses. He'll make his next start against the Angels and will look to improve to 5-0 versus a team that is currently last in the league in batting average against left-handers (.170).--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
