6 years agoHouston Astros starter Gerrit Cole earned his first victory of the season on Sunday, allowing only two runs in six innings against the Mariners. Cole (1-2) allowed four hits while striking out 11 hitters in a dominant performance. Cole is coming off of a career season and has picked up right where he left off. The right-hander already has 36 strikeouts through 25 innings this season to go along with a 0.92 WHIP. Cole posted a 12.40 K/9 in 2018, a career best, and has a 12.96 K/9 through his first four starts. Cole will continue to be an elite fantasy choice when he makes his next start.--Joey C - RotoBaller
