6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale finished five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits while fanning six and walking one in Tuesday's 8-0 loss to the Yankees. Overall, it wasn't a terrible outing for Sale, but it was his best of the season, despite not getting any run support. The southpaw's strikeout total was his highest of the season and his fastball velocity also peaked at 97.5 mph. However, his stuff still isn't of the elite status that owners have come to expect, with just a 13 percent swinging-strike rate on Tuesday. He'll look to get his stuff back along with his recently increased velocity when the Sox host the Tigers on Monday.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
