Sonny Gray Takes Fourth Loss
6 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Sonny Gray pitched well in a 5-2 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. Gray allowed two runs over five innings while striking out five. He wound up taking the tough-luck loss, however, which dropped his record to 0-4 on the season. Despite the poor record, Gray has pitched really well for the Reds, posting a 3.64 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 36 strikeouts in 29 2/3 innings of work. Gray draws a plus matchup in his next start, which will be against the San Francisco Giants.
