6 years agoBoston Red Sox utility man Brock Holt (scratched cornea) was scratched from his rehab start with Triple-A Pawtucket on Sunday, due to shoulder soreness. This is a new ailment for the 30-year-old, who hasn't appeared in a big-league game since April 5 due to a scratch on his eye. Holt also suffered a setback with his eye recently, but a new contact lens was supposed to fix the issue, but it's unclear how long this shoulder issue will keep him out. Fellow infielders Eduardo Nunez (back) and Dustin Pedroia (knee) are set to begin rehab assignments this week. Nunez could return for the May 6 series opener with Baltimore. In the meantime, the Sox have been rolling with rookie Michael Chavis and Tzu-Wei Lin at second base.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
