Josh Bell's Two-RBI Double Sends Pirates To Extras
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates first baseman Josh Bell finished 2-for-5 while driving in two runs in the top of the ninth to send the game to extras at 3-3, where the Pirates eventually defeated the Rangers 6-4. Bell also struck out twice in the game, but his two-run double puts his average with runners in scoring position at .500 (11-for-22) for the year. He's easily been the team's most consistent hitter with a line of .286/.363/.592, including six long balls, 21 runs batted in and 16 runs scored. Bell should continue to be a force in the heart of the Pirates lineup and should always be considered for DFS when facing a righty on the mound.
