6 years agoHouston Astros starter Gerrit Cole dominated the Twins on Tuesday night, striking out 11 through seven scoreless innings in the team's 11-0 win. Cole (2-4) allowed only one hit all night and now has 21 strikeouts over his last 14 innings pitched after a bumpy outing against the Rangers on April 20. His ERA may sit at 3.95 right now but the right-hander is still an elite presence on the mound. He already has allowed six home runs through 43 1/3 innings, which is alarming, but he is holding opponents to a .190 batting average and sports an impressive 1.04 WHIP through seven starts.--Joey C - RotoBaller
