Anthony DeSclafani Strikes Out Eight On Wednesday
6 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Anthony DeSclafani struck out eight in a no-decision on Wednesday. DeSclafani was excellent in the outing, hurling 5 2/3 shutout innings against the New York Mets while allowing just three hits. The veteran right-hander has been pitching well of late as he has allowed just one earned run over his past three starts, spanning 17 2/3 innings of work. DeSclafani is becoming an interesting name in mixed leagues and is worth a waiver claim if you need to add a starting pitcher. He will square off against the San Francisco Giants in his next start. The Giants have not been a good offensive team this season, making DeSclafani a strong fantasy option for his upcoming start.
