Jonathan Schoop Hits 465-Foot Bomb
6 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman Jonathan Schoop went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in a 6-2 win over the Houston Astros on Wednesday. Schoop's homer was a monster shot, traveling 465 feet, the longest homer by a Twin this season. The veteran infielder is off to a decent start with his new team, batting .269 with five homers, 15 runs, and 13 RBI. Few fantasy second basemen in the league have the power potential that Schoop does, making him a solid choice for starting lineups on most days. He will square off against Houston right-hander Brad Peacock on Thursday in the series finale.
