Monday features two huge Game 6 clashes. Columbus and Colorado host these important games trying to extend their seasons. Meanwhile, Boston and San Jose try to close out their opposition.
Remember, when picking around for plays, an over/under of 6 dictates offense, but an over/under of 5 or sometimes 5.5 tilts towards the goalies. Both of the games on the Saturday slate feature an over/under of 5.5. Expect that number to stick.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 5/6/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @ChrisWasselDFS. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider
Nathan MacKinnon - C, COL vs SJS (FD - $8,900, DK - $7,100)
MacKinnon faces an elimination game for the first time this postseason but at least this one is at home where Colorado can control the line matches. The center had an eight-game point streak snapped on Saturday night in a vicious way -- one shot, one scoring chance was all he generated. If the center scores early then look out! MacKinnon gets going quickly and that will mean a long night for San Jose as, in altitude, the forward has few equals. Finally, during his eight-game point streak, MacKinnon was generating just over five scoring chances and 2.5 high-danger chances per contest. Tomas Hertl is a good, secondary option along with Patrice Bergeron on Monday night.
David Pastrnak - W, BOS vs CBJ (FD - $8,600, DK - $7,000)
The winger soldiered on and piled up four points in his last two games which included two goals in Game 5 on seven shots and five scoring chances. This was more like the Pastrnak most expected. Yes, Pastrnak may not be 100% but he is finding the open spaces in the Columbus zone defense that Tampa Bay could not. It is rare but if this is not broke then why alter things. Play the Boston top line until Columbus shows they can contain them. After all, the Blue Jackets could not do so during the regular season. Expect Pastrnak, Patrice Bergeron, and Brad Marchand to get their opportunities once more on Monday.
DFS Defenders to Consider
Matt Grzelcyk - D, BOS vs CLB (FD - $3,800, DK - $3,300)
Grzelcyk fired in two shots and a block on Saturday night. That is seemingly what the Bruins' defenseman does lately. He is averaging value per contest not necessarily value plus. Now, that's alright in the playoffs because the numbers and chances are still there. The third-pairing blueliner tallied 15 shots in the previous four contests on eight scoring chances. Depth is a vital need on Monday since so many will be on the select top players as far as ownership.
David Savard - D, CLB vs BOS (FD - $3,900, DK - $4,000)
Savard functions as a very good play on Monday night. His floor is an excellent 4.8 shots and blocked shots per game over his previous ten matches. The veteran defenseman finds ways to jump into the play and showed in Game 5 with his assist that he can start scoring plays as well. Do not be surprised if Savard occasionally sees a few shifts on the top pairing as John Tortorella will mix him in there to give either Zach Werenski or Seth Jones a slight breather. His price stays low enough to use him once more on Monday night.
DFS Goalies to Consider
Philipp Grubauer - G, SJS vs COL (FD - $8,100, DK - $7,400)
Grubauer delivered his best performance in a loss during Game 5 against the San Jose Sharks. The Colorado Avalanche goalie saw a bevy of high-danger opportunities and stopped all but two shots. Overall, he stopped 37 of 39 shots in defeat and could face 30+ shots again on Monday. His GPP viability is high and in his last home game rattled off a 32-save shutout which broke the slate. The other good GPP choice on Monday is higher-risk but that would be Sergei Bobrovsky who is lower-priced overall across the platforms. Grubauer features the better expectation of a win, however.
