6 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers signed free-agent catcher Travis D'Arnaud (Mets) to a one-year contract on Sunday and they optioned infielder/outfielder Matt Beaty to Triple-A Oklahoma City in the corresponding roster move. Manager Dave Roberts said the team wanted another right-handed bat, and that they will also use d'Arnaud in the infield as well as the outfielder, while he also helps out as one of the three catchers. He remains useful in NL-only fantasy leagues, especially for his positional versatility from an eligibility perspective.--Daniel Dobish
