5 years agoOakland Athletics closer Blake Treinen (elbow) has been showing improvement over the last few days and is expected to avoid the injured list. The righty has been unavailable the last two days with what the team thinks is right elbow tendinitis, but he should be fine in the long run. An exam on Monday didn't show anything serious, so there's a chance Treinen could be available in a save chance if it arises on Tuesday. If not, Lou Trivino might get a save opportunity. Treinen was the best reliever in baseball last year. He hasn't been quite as unhittable so far in 2019, but he does have six saves and remains an elite fantasy closer.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
