6 years agoAtlanta Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz allowed five runs on five hits through six innings of work during a 9-4 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night. The right-hander walked four batters while striking out two. Foltynewicz has failed to live up to his All-Star billing from last season, as he owns an 0-2 record with a 5.94 ERA and 1.44 WHIP through three starts in 2019. The 27-year-old was expected to be the headliner of the Braves staff this season, but he has looked mediocre, at best, through the early going. His struggles may continue, as he is expected to face the St. Louis Cardinals in his next start, but it is too early to give up on him at this point.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
