Seahawks Release Doug Baldwin
6 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks released wide receiver Doug Baldwin (knee) on Thursday with a failed-physical designation. Baldwin dealt with a myriad of injuries during the past year, resulting in him undergoing three separate surgeries during the offseason. Most notably, Baldwin dealt with a knee issue that dogged him throughout the 2018 season. Rumors of Baldwin's potential retirement surfaced last month, with this being the final step for him to make those rumors official. Baldwin tallied 493 catches for 6,563 yards and 49 touchdowns in his Seahawks career. Tyler Lockett slides over to the top receiver spot with rookie D.K. Metcalf second in line for targets in a revamped Seattle receiving corps.
