6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez delivered yet another great start, this time against their NL Central rival in the Chicago Cubs. Gonzalez fell just shy of a quality start, as he finished with 5 2/3 innings pitched, two hits allowed and three walks issued, all while keeping the Cubs off of the scoreboard. Gonzalez threw just 79 pitches, but pounded the strike zone with 50 strikes, yet only had three strikeouts. He has now totaled 16 innings pitched on the season, while only allowing three combined runs to the tune of a 1.69 ERA. He was effective with all of his pitches in the game and looks to be a quality streaming option moving forward.--Brendan Kennealy
