6 years agoAaron Altherr has been claimed by the Giants a week after being DFA'd by the Phillies. He has struggled over the past two seasons. However, he is only two years removed from a season where he put up 19 home runs with the Phillies. He is out of options so the Giants have claimed him with the intention of keeping him in the Majors. A fresh start with the Giants could be just what the doctor ordered for Altherr, as he looks to find a spot in the lineup. He is worth keeping an eye on in very deep fantasy leagues and NL-only leagues.--Nate Duffett
