Michael Pineda Serves Up Three Homers On Saturday
6 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Michael Pineda allowed three runs in six innings in a 5-3 loss to the Detroit Tigers in the first game of the two teams' Saturday doubleheader. Pineda struck out five and walked none in the start. His main issue was his inability to keep the ball in the park as he gave up three solo homers in the game. Pineda has been up-and-down this season, posting a 2-3 record, 5.85 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, and 35 strikeouts in 40 innings of work. He is best used in fantasy as a streaming option in good matchups. For his next start, Pineda will take on the Seattle Mariners on Thursday.
