5 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Gregory Polanco is not in the lineup Monday night. Melky Cabrera will play right field and bat third against the Diamondbacks. Polanco has carried his success from last season into 2019, making hard contact on over 33 percent of his batted balls and is currently sporting a .912 OPS. However, his upside will be limited if he can't crack the lineup against southpaws. Polanco has been out of the lineup three of the past five times Pittsburgh has faced a left-handed starter. On the season, Polanco has only 16 plate appearances versus lefties and has yet to record an extra-base hit.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
