Miguel Andujar To Have Season-Ending Surgery
6 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar (shoulder) will miss the remainder of the 2019 season after having surgery. After bursting on the scene with a .361 wOBA in 2018, Andujar has not been able to get anything going this year due to a nagging shoulder injury that has kept him on the injured list for all but 12 games. In those dozen games, Andujar hit just .128 with no extra-base hits and only one RBI. This is a big blow to Andujar owners and to the Yankees lineup, as they were all looking for another big season from the 24-year-old. It is safe to cut bait with Andujar and open up a roster spot, as he will not be returning this year.
