6 years agoBoston Red Sox designated hitter J.D. Martinez finished 2-for-4, with three runs batted in during Wednesday's 6-5 win over Colorado. The 31-year-old's RBI single in the first was the game's first run, before clubbing his ninth home run of the season in the third. Martinez has been catching fire the past five games, hitting four home runs, driving in seven, and scoring seven more. He's slashing .321/.399/.541 and boasts a .220 ISO. Things get a little more tricky this weekend when the Astros come to town, but Martinez is the least of your worries, even against pitchers like Gerrit Cole.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
