5 years agoTampa Bay Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe struck out again on Wednesday for his 12th strikeout in the past five games and 20th in the month of May. After a scorching start, Lowe has disappointed lately despite his still solid slash of .285/.336/.533 with eight home runs and three stolen bases. It’s likely just a result of a young hitter finding his footing and may be an ongoing issue at times this season. Owners (or watchers) of Lowe shouldn’t be too worried about him losing playing time due to some Rays injuries and Manager Kevin Cash’s faith in the 24-year-old. He still possesses good upside for a power and speed player who is above average in sprint speed, exit velocity, and hard hit percentage. Keep an eye on him if he’s on your leagues waivers and let him occupy your bench spot if you own him until he can get back on track.--Zach Alexander
