Edwin Encarnacion Paces Mariners With Three Hits
6 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Edwin Encarnacion had a great day at the plate Sunday going 3-for-4 against the Twins. He finished a triple shy of the cycle after he belted a three-run homer to break the game open in the seventh inning off of reliever Trevor May as the M's won 7-4. It was his 13th of the year, and EE also collected his 33rd RBI as he continues to produce in the power department in his first year in Seattle. It's looking more and more likely that the Mariners will try and trade the veteran before the trade deadline this summer, and they might get a hefty return if he keeps punishing the baseball. Expect the numbers to keep piling up as Father Time doesn't appear to be knocking just yet.
