6 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Michael Pineda turned in a quality start against the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday. Pineda allowed three runs in six innings of work, striking out three and walking two. He improved his record to 4-4 with a 5.43 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and 44 strikeouts in 53 innings of work. Pineda has struggled to keep the ball in the yard this season, as he's allowing 2.38 homers per nine innings. He also hasn't shown enough strikeout upside to be considered a safe fantasy option. At this point of the season, he needs to be treated as just a streamer in plus matchups. He will take on the Milwaukee Brewers next.--Matt T - RotoBaller
