6 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder/first baseman Jay Bruce recorded a single and a double in a 2-for-4 effort Wednesday scoring the team's only run of the game. The veteran has had a terrific year power-wise for the M's this season clubbing 12 bombs and 26 RBI but is still batting on the interstates with a .192 average. Bruce has just one homer in his past 12 games while striking out 28.9% of the time. Although he's on a cold streak, Bruce has a lengthy track record of producing in the power department and we should expect the same moving forward. He'll likely remain a drain in the batting average category, so owners need to be cautious with this facet.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
