Setting Up Nathaniel Lowe's Return
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Ji-Man Choi has been a fairly solid hitter so far but has lacked the power of a typical corner infielder. There are no indications from the team about calling up Nathaniel Lowe, but it seems like it could be a possibility sooner than later. Through 31 games in Triple-A this year, he’s hit .264/.406/.472 with three home runs. In 38 plate appearances with the Rays, he hit .257 but didn’t homer. He’s a big part of the Rays plans going forward and is a solid stash in deeper leagues for when he’s brought back up.
