6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Rick Porcello went six innings against the Blue Jays Wednesday, allowing just one run, on three hits, while striking out four, and walking none in a game that lasted 13 innings. The only blemish against the righty was a solo home run by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in the fourth. When Porcello exited the game, the Sox held a 2-1 lead; however, the bullpen was unable to hold it together, with the teams eventually going to extras, tied at four. Five of his last six starts have been labeled as "quality," however, he has been prone to the long ball, allowing five homers in his last four starts. Nonetheless, Porcello has dramatically improved his K:BB which now sits at 47:19 on the year, so it seems that he is in a good place right now on the mound and can continue to be started in fantasy. The 30-year-old will toe the rubber next in a solid home matchup with the Cleveland Indians on Monday.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
