5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jimmy Nelson (elbow) managed only 4 2/3 innings in his Triple-A rehab start on Thursday. He let up four earned runs on five hits striking out six and walking five. The good news is that all of the runs came in his final inning, which included a two-run home run by one of the Astros top prospects, Kyle Tucker. Nelson hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2017 in which he threw 175 1/3 innings with a 3.49 ERA and 27.3 percent strikeout rate. Based on that stellar 2017 season, Nelson should be added in all leagues just on upside alone. However, expectations should be low once he is ready to be called back up to the Brewers. This is possibly his last rehab outing and he could join the big league club for his next start.--Zach Alexander
