6 years agoToronto Blue Jays second baseman Cavan Biggio hit his first career home run Sunday afternoon vs the Padres. The homer was also his first career hit as he had been 0-for-6 in his first two Big League games. Biggio was hitting .307 in Triple-A with a .949 OPS before his promotion Friday. Biggio brings elite plate discipline to the Majors as he had 34 walks to only 28 strikeouts in 42 games with the Buffalo Bisons. He's worth a speculative add in most mixed leagues, especially those that reward walks in any way or use on-base percentage as a category.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
