5 years agoBoston Red Sox designated hitter J.D. Martinez had two hits Monday, both solo home runs, to give him 11 on the season. The first shot came in the sixth when Boston already led 9-3, before his second one came in the eighth inning, to give them their 12th run. Previously off an 0-for-13 stretch, Martinez's double-homer day marks his first time leaving the park since May 15. He's now driven in 31 runs, to go with a .304/.388/.536 slash line. If the power continues to surge, we could see Boston's lineup take another step, in combination with Rafael Devers' recent breakout.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
