Jordan Lyles Removed With Left Hamstring Tightness
5 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starter Jordan Lyles was forced to leave Tuesday's game versus the Reds early with left hamstring tightness. The team trainer examined him when he was on the mound in the fourth but remained in the game to complete the inning. He failed to make it out to start the fifth inning adding another injury to a depleted Pirates pitching staff. Lyles had given up three runs on three hits and a pair of walks while striking out a trio before exiting the start as he looked to build on a strong 2019 campaign. Look for an update from the team in the coming hours to find out the severity of the injury.
