6 years agoHouston Astros starting pitching prospect Forrest Whitley (shoulder) has been placed on the seven-day injured list with shoulder fatigue in the minor leagues. The top pitching prospect in the Astros organization is having a rough go his first time facing Triple-A batters, compiling a 12.21 ERA and 2.05 WHIP through eight appearances. There's no reason to hit the panic button yet, as the sample size is very small and Whitley is pitching in an extremely batter-friendly league. If he continues to struggle upon his return from the injured list, we may not see him this year as originally planned, but there is still a lot of time for him to turn it around.--Joseph Magazzinich
