Chase Anderson Struggles Versus Marlins
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Chase Anderson struggled Tuesday night at home vs the lowly Marlins giving up four earned runs in four innings. Anderson has now failed to record a quality start in any of his six starts this season. Anderson had a promising season in 2017 but he's battled various injuries the past couple of seasons and it's clear he isn't able to pitch deep into games. Coming into the contest Anderson had a 3.31 ERA which looked good, but it was not supported by his xFIP which was at 4.60. Anderson will carry a 3.93 ERA into a start vs the Pirates Sunday. The matchup is good enough to start in deeper leagues if you need a streamer but Anderson should be left on waivers in standard mixed leagues.
