C.J. Cron Launches 14th Homer
5 years agoMinnesota Twins first baseman C.J. Cron went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo homer in a 6-3 win over the Detroit Tigers on Friday. Cron went deep in the sixth inning, blasting a shot off of Detroit starter Matthew Boyd. He is enjoying a strong first season in Minnesota, hitting .275 with 14 homers, 31 runs, and 40 RBI. He has been especially hot over the past 30 games, posting a .311 average and nine homers over that span. Cron is worth rostering in all leagues as a key piece of what has been an explosive Minnesota lineup. He will look to keep it going on Saturday against whoever the Tigers decide to use as their opener.
