5 years agoUpdating a previous report, Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed (foot) will not have X-rays on his injured left foot. He was lifted from Sunday's game in Toronto, and it appears it was simply as a precaution. Manager Torey Lovullo removed Ahmed from the game, and whatever the issue was stems from a situation in the batters box on Saturday. It appears Ahmed has dodged a bullet and doesn't have a serious injury, although it wouldn't be surprising to see him get a day off in Philadelphia on Monday as the road trip resumes. If you normally rely upon him for fantasy purposes, he might be a slightly risky play heading into the upcoming week.--Daniel Dobish
