5 years agoTexas Rangers third baseman Asdrubal Cabrera went 3-for-5 with a double, a solo home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Sunday's 9-8 home loss against the Oakland Athletics. The double was Cabrera's 10th of the season, and the homer also gave him 10 for the season. The 33-year-old veteran has picked up the pace in June, hitting .452 (14-for-31) with three doubles, a homer and seven RBI in eight games to raise his average from .224 to .260. He is still mostly an AL-only fantasy option with some value in deeper mixed play. Cabrera is especially solid in DFS play at a mid-tier salary while running hot.--Daniel Dobish
