6 years agoBoston Red Sox reliever Marcus Walden recorded just one out in four batters faced in the seventh inning of Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay. Walden served up two solo home runs and a single before being replaced by Colten Brewer. Over the past week, Walden has thrown four complete innings, allowing three earned runs, all on solo home runs, while striking out just three and walking one. The 30-year-old had allowed just two home runs prior to June 3, so giving up three in a week isn't a bid of confidence for manager Alex Cora to trust him in high-leverage situations. This Boston bullpen is as volatile as it gets right now, so stay away from Walden in any format for the considerable time being.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
