Welcome to Tuesday baseball folks! We have a full slate on our hands with the Yankees and Mets making up for missed time at 1:05. The main slate of games will start at 7:05 and consists of 15 games. We have a few aces on our hands, and plenty of bad pitchers to pick on. We also have a game in Coors Field with an 12 over/under, so we need to pay attention to that as well. Let's dive in head first to each position and find tonight's diamond in the rough.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/11/2019. The picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. With the game in Coors Field, you can stack either of those teams four different ways. I will try my best to even things out and not harp on one team or one bad pitcher.
We also provide DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me on Twitter @VarneyDFS.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Chris Paddack SDP @ SF ($9,300)
There are a lot of talented arms on tonight’s slate, but they’re all surrounded by some sort of question marks. Whether it’s the price on Bauer or the pitch count for Paxton, they make you uncomfortable. Chris Paddack is the fifth most expensive pitcher on FanDuel and is looking like the pitcher in the best spot. Vegas has the Giants scoring just 3.32 runs and the Padres are heavy -200 favorites. Paddack is one of the league's best young arms, holding a .265 combined wOBA allowed with a 9.79 K/9 and 1.4 BB/9. That is not normal for a 23 year old rookie pitcher. He’ll now enter a pitchers dream in AT&T Park to face off with one of the leagues worst offenses. The Giants rank 29th next to the Miami Marlins with a team .286 wOBA and 26% K rate vs right-handers. Paddack is affordable and should be the most popular arm on this slate.
Dakota Hudson STL @ MIA ($8,000)
If you’re looking to spend up on some big bats, Dakota Hudson is a great way to pay down. At $8k, he’s going to give you at least five or six innings and a quality start with a great shot at the win. We know the Marlins straight up stink against righties, ranking dead last with a .271 team wOBA and 27% strikeout rate. They always seem to be scrappy Marlins Park is huge and Hudson shouldn’t have trouble keeping the ball in play. This is the best match-up he’s had to this point and has a lot of upside for the price.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
C/1B - Freddie Freeman ATL vs. PIT (Chris Archer) ($4,300)
Freddie Freeman is swinging one of the hottest bats in baseball, homering in five of his last eight games and seeming to dive the ball with vengeance in every at-bat. Chris Archer has been decent this year, but his peripherals tell us he’s been lucky with a 4.94 xFIP vs lefties and he'll be facing off against a tough lineup, to say the least. As a top 10 team vs right-handers, the Braves are projected for five + runs and Freeman is the heartbeat of it all. Let’s hope the price and name factor on Archer keeps the ownership of Freeman down.
2B - Gleyber Torres NYY vs. NYM (Jason Vargas) ($3,500)
Jason Vargas has been living on luck. When you see a .320 wOBA and 5+ xFIP, you know there is plenty of impending doom. The Yankees could easily give him that with a projected run total over five runs. He's always had big home run issues and the Yankees are a team to take advantage if any. Against lefties, Gleyber Torres has been worse against lefties in '19, but was far better in 2018 against them. He has as much power as any second baseman and is affordable on FanDuel. If you're looking to save some money, wait until lineups come out and there will be a few cheap 2B.
3B - Anthony Rendon WAS @ CWS (Manny Banuelos) ($4,400)
Coming in as my favorite batter of the night, Anthony Rendon gets to face off with the worst pitcher on the slate. Let's take a look at Rendon first, though. Against lefties, he sports a .424 wOBA and has hit three homers in just 50 at-bats. He hits the ball hard 54% of the time with a 27% line drive rate. He's one of the best hitters in baseball and is surrounded by hitters who will drive him in. Especially against Manny Banuelos, who has been demolished by both lefties and righties (.409 wOBA) and has managed to allowed 11 home runs in 40 innings of work. The Nationals are a top offense to stack and Rendon is one of the best plays on the night regardless of price.
SS - Fernando Tatis Jr. SDP @ SF (Tyler Beede) ($3,600)
You can play Trevor Story or Javier Baez here if you have the funds, but I don't think you need me to tell you that. We'll instead look at Fernando Tatis Jr., who's looking like one of the cornerstones of baseball for the next ten or so years. Call me crazy, but I'll take the tools and attitude of Tatis Jr. over Machado any day. They're both in play tonight, but Tatis Jr. gives you the power along with stolen base upside. We don't have much of an sample size for Tyler Beede, but he's been terrible so far (.371 wOBA) and Vegas has the Padres scoring nearly five runs. He's a high K pitcher, but walked over four batters per nine in the minors. Until he figures that out, major league teams are going to wait for their pitches and tee off.
UTIL - Howie Kendrick WAS @ CWS (Manny Banuelos) ($3,000)
This is one of the easier plays of the slate if you're on FanDuel. Howie Kendrick is ripping the threads off the baseball and now gets to face off with Manny Banuelos. Banuelos, who we've already touched on, will be lucky to make it five innings against this lineup in Guaranteed Rate Field, where the ball flies in the summer. Kendrick is way too cheap at $3,000 on FanDuel and a phenomenal complement to Anthony Rendon. I won't be without these guys in my cash games or tournaments.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Cody Bellinger LOS @ LAA (Felix Pena) ($4,700)
If I have to pay up for an outfielder tonight, it's Cody Bellinger. Mike Trout and Christian Yelich could very well go off, but I think Bellinger might be the lowest owned of the three and he's the cheapest. He also has the best match-up, facing Felix Pena and the Angels. Pena has allowed a 4.86 xFIP to opposing lefties and Bellinger has answered with a .475 wOBA and 20 bombs. He hasn't hit one in 11 games and I think it's about time. With some affordable pitching options, Bellinger deserves a lot of attention in the outfield.
Andrew Benintendi BOS vs. TEX (Ariej Jurado) ($3,500)
We haven't touched on the Red Sox yet, but they're one of the night's top offenses facing off against Ariel Jurado. He's been beat up by three offenses much weaker and will now have to go into Fenway Park and find a way to survive. He only strikes out four lefties per nine innings and has held a 5.03 xFIP. Impending doom. Benintendi is still a .340 wOBA hitter vs righties when struggling and we've seen him over .390 for plenty of his career. I think the Red Sox put up some runs tonight and Benintendi should be a part of it at an affordable price.
Carlos Gonzalez CHC @ COL (Peter Lambert) ($3,300)
The Cubs are another team we've left alone so far, but that's because everyone is in play. With a 6.12 projected run total, 1-9 are in play and you just have to pick and choose. This same pitcher made his debut a week ago against the Cubs in Wrigley and absolutely dominated with 11 strikeouts. He'll now go to Coors Field and face an offense that just saw him. This should be a completely different ballgame. Carlos Gonzalez is only $3,300 on FanDuel and we know he loves hitting homers in Coors Field. Good luck tonight!
