5 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds went 3-for-4 with a walk, two RBI, and a run scored Thursday vs Atlanta. Reynolds had sat the previous two games but continues to prove he belongs in the everyday lineup. Reynolds is hitting .350 with a .965 OPS and now has 55 hits in 48 games played in the Majors. Reynolds does have a .427 BABIP which will come back down to earth, but the batted ball data all implies he should profile as a high BABIP player. He is making hard contact at a 48.7 percent rate and is hitting the ball to all fields. More big numbers could be in store for Reynolds if he's hit more fly balls. He is only hitting 27 percent fly balls compared to 49 percent in Triple-A where he hit five home runs in 13 games. Reynolds should be owned in 12 team leagues and deeper but could be must add everywhere if the Pirates would commit to giving him regular at-bats.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
