6 years agoBoston Red Sox catcher Christian Vazquez had two hits, including a solo home run in Friday's win over Baltimore. His eighth long ball of the year came in the fourth inning, and it was his first home run since May 24. Vazquez is already well past his previous career-high in home runs for a season, which was five. He and Sandy Leon have combined to serve as Boston's backstops, but Vazquez has been the clear option for fantasy purposes. He's now batting .289/.330/.476 with 23 RBI and 25 runs scored. Vazquez should definitely be considered in mixed leagues with this type of production.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
