Taylor Rogers Saves Second Straight Game
5 years agoMinnesota Twins reliever Taylor Rogers pitched a scoreless ninth to nail down a 5-4 win over the Kansas City Royals on Saturday. Rogers struck out one on the way to earning his second save in as many nights. The lefty started out the season in a setup role behind Blake Parker but he appears to have taken over as the Twins' preferred option in save situations. Rogers now has a 2.10 ERA, eight saves, and 38 strikeouts in 30 innings of work. He is still available in over half of Yahoo leagues and should be added by any fantasy owner in need of saves. Parker may still get occasional save chances based on matchups but it looks like this is Rogers' job going forward.
