5 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher John Means (shoulder) has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a left shoulder strain. This move is retroactive to June 17, so Means could be back as early as next weekend. The 26-year-old has been excellent so far this season, pitching to the tune of a 2.67 ERA through 16 appearances, 12 of which were starts. There is a reason to be cautious, though, as Means currently holds a 5.07 xFIP, but his production so far definitely makes him worth the hold in mixed leagues, at least until his luck runs out. Evan Phillips was called up from Triple-A but will be a risky fantasy option, at best, if he gets to start.--Joseph Magazzinich
