6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Rick Porcello surrendered five runs over six innings, while striking out two and walking four in Sunday's 6-1 loss to Toronto. The 30-year-old walked more than one batter for the first time in four starts, and his two punchouts tied a season-low. Porcello had been riding the heat from his previous two starts, where he allowed just two runs over 13 2/3 innings with a 14/1 K/BB, so Sunday's outing was a turn in the wrong direction. On the positive side, the righty hasn't allowed a home run in three straight starts, marking his longest consecutive string of games without a homer allowed this season. On the year, he is 5-7 with a 4.52 ERA and a 76/29 K/BB. Things don't get any easier for his next outing, when he'll face off with the Yankees in Fenway, making him a "sit" on your roster.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
