6 years agoBoston Red Sox utility infielder Eduardo Nunez doubled and scored Boston's only run in Sunday's 6-1 loss to Toronto. The veteran entered the game in the fourth inning after Brock Holt (hamstring) was removed from the game. Nunez led off the ninth with a double before scoring later on a fielding error. In June, he's slashing .289/.319/.422 with a home run and four runs batted in. The 32-year-old can play just about anywhere in the infield, but offers little power with the bat. If Holt is forced to miss any extended time, Nunez should continue to see an increase in playing time around the infield. He has some value in AL-only formats, but his mixed league value is non-existent due to the low-power upside.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
