5 years agoTampa Bay Rays relief pitcher Diego Castillo (shoulder) has been diagnosed with a right shoulder impingement and he will be sidelined for at least two weeks. Overall, Castillo has a 1-6 record with a 3.93 ERA and 1.31 WHIP across 34 1/3 innings over 33 relief appearances. Something's obviously been amiss lately, as he has coughed up eight earned runs and seven hits with four walks and two homers allowed across 3 2/3 innings in his past four appearances, going 0-2 with a save and one blown chance, and his ERA ballooned from 2.05 to 3.93 just since June 11.--Daniel Dobish
