5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies second baseman Cesar Hernandez had two more hits Wednesday, going 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Hernandez now has a nine-game hit streak with seven of those games being multi-hit games. Hernandez is now batting .286 on the season with a .336 on-base percentage. The switch-hitting infielder won't provide much power but is great at making contact. His 84.8 percent contact rate ranks 22nd out of 160 qualified hitters and has reached double-digit steals each of the past two seasons.
