5 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Hunter Pence will go on a rehab assignment Monday and Tuesday, with the hope of activation on Wednesday. The veteran has been out of action since June 17 after straining his right groin and will return just in time to start in the Fall Classic on July 9. Pence is a midseason candidate for bounce-back player of the year, batting .294 with 15 homers, 44 runs, and 48 RBI in his first year with the Rangers. He's been plagued with injuries over the last handful of years, but as long as the 36-year-old remains healthy, he should remain fantasy relevant in his resurgent season.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
