Brett Anderson Pitches Into The Eighth Inning
5 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Brett Anderson allowed two hits and two walks over 7 2/3 scoreless innings with three strikeouts in a victory against the Los Angeles Angels. He improved to 8-5 while lowering his ERA to 3.92, throwing 63 of his 100 pitches for strikes. Anderson has actually been much better on the road than at home, going 4-2 with a 3.46 ERA and .239 opponent batting average across 54 2/3 innings over nine road starts. He likes to face the Halos, too, as he is 2-0 with 13 2/3 scoreless innings and a .111 opponent batting average. He'll look to stay hot on the road in Seattle next Friday.
